The Swiss Base Association (SBA) is a non-profit organisation founded in 2007 by Michi Schwery and Moritz Schellenberg with the goal to support basejumping in Switzerland by developing good relationships with the local authorities and farmers. The SBA works in close collaboration with the Italian Base Association (IBA).

Why do I need a third-party insurance?
In Switzerland a basejumper is subject to the same laws and regulations as a skydiver, as defined by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA).
What does it cover for?
Your third-party insurance covers for damage to property (houses, cars, power lines, etc...) and damage to uninvolved persons up to 5,000,000 CHF.

Does the insurance cover if my skydiving license has expired?
No it doesn't. For legal basejumping in Switzerland you need a valid skydiving license as basejumpers and skydivers are subject to the same laws and regulations of the Federal Office of Civil Aviation.
